The Towns of South Holland, Lincolnshire

The Townapp for the six towns of South Holland is brought to you by the South Holland District Council. The Council were keen to develop the app as a means of helping to support and develop the local economy and promote the towns of the area and their fantastic local businesses and independent retailers.

The Townapp was developed to give every town the same opportunity to market and promote the local area, the shops and businesses and the activities all of this to encourage more footfall, dwell time and spend within the local area. So whether you are a visitor to the area, a local resident or a business there is something on the App for you.

The Council have been actively marketing and promoting the app and have designed and produced some neat postcards and fridge magnets to help raise the profile with local people and visitors to the area.

Townapps – this App provided a great opportunity for our app to be developed across a whole area and giving each town the chance to market and promote themselves as individual stand-alone places and collectively across the whole District.
The Council had some very clear requirements and the app has been designed to meet these, with a clear and bright user interface and locally sourced the graphics the app has provided a great tool for local people and the visitors to the area to find out more about the activities happening in the local area and to explore the great things happening in the South Holland local area.
The App has been successfully launched and deployed to the Android and Apple stores and through working with the partner some additional features and functionality may be considered over the next 6 months
